About Us
The Sulpom Group is an integrated renewal energy corporation consisting of two Palm Oil Mills, an Integrated Biomass-Based Cogeneration Power Plant to produce renewal energy into national grid while also supporting the Palm Oil Mill's utility processes. In addition, the group also engages in a Biogas Methane Capture System which produces 2.0 MW of energy.
All these facilities are located in the state of Selangor in Malaysia. These two mills are strategically located near numerous refineries and Palm Oil estates.

Founder
SULPOM was founded by the late Mr. Yap Hai Tin In 1986. At first Seri Ulu Langat was founded and he then gradually took over operations of Seri Langat in 1991.
He was a determined personality, braving through difficult times and managing the group to sail through the tough periods to become a leading Palm Oil industry player in the region.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
Dato Michael Yap joined the group in 1989 as a Management Trainee under the guidance of the founder Mr. Yap Hai Tin. During this tenure, Dato Michael gained intense and best-in-class hands on training and exposure in operations and Business Development. Subsequently Dato Michael further gained competency in Marketing, Trading and Risk Management.
Dato Michael has been pivotal in the leadership of customer relationship and supply chain management of the SULPOM Group where the sourcing of raw materials and management of supply chain is paramount.
